1. Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara – International Campus Diu invites application under Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Category from NRI candidates who cleared XII class examination (Science Stream: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics), seeking admission in IIITVICD B.Tech course can apply through following:

              (a) SAT Subject Tests (formerly SAT II).

              (b) Joint Entrance Examination 2026.

              (c)  AP Test in PCM.

 

2Eligibility for applying under NRI Quota (NRIQ) category. For the purpose of admissions into the B.Tech. programs, the following categories of applicants will be considered as Non- Resident Indians:

CATEGORY A

(a) Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card holders.

(b) Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) Card Holders.

(c) Certificates of Non-Resident Indian issued by the Indian Embassy/Indian Consulate of the Country where the Non-Resident Indian is residing.

(d) Passport of an applicant indicating his status as ‘Non-Resident Indian’.

(e) Persons who have studied outside India and have passed either 10th or 12th standard (or must be appearing for the examination in the year of admission) or equivalent from any system of education subject to the eligibility criteria stipulated below.

(f) Either of the parents of the applicant residing abroad and submits documentary proof that he/she is a Non-Resident Indian (e.g., NRI bank account in India or letter from the Indian Embassy/Consulate). The NRI status should be valid until 1st August of the year of admission.

 

CATEGORY B

(g)  If  NRI  Quota  seats  remain  vacant  after  exhaustion  of  the  merit  list  based  on  (a)-(f)  such  vacant  seats  will  be  offered  to  the  NRI/  NRI Sponsored First/ Second-Degree Blood Relation candidates.  Subsequently any vacant seats  will  be  offered  to  the  NRI/NRI  Sponsored  by  the  Third  Degree  and  other  Blood  Relations candidates. Meaning  of  First  Degree  /  Second  Degree  relationship  in  case  of  NRI  Sponsored candidates:  

(i) First  Degree  Relationship with  the  candidate  means  only  the  following:  Mother,  Father,  Full  Brother, Full  Sister,  or  Children  as  the  case  may  be.

(ii) Second  Degree  Relationship  with  the  candidate  means  only  the  following: Maternal  Grand  Mother  /  Grand  Father, Paternal  Grand  Mother  /  Grand  Father, Real  Maternal  Aunt  /  Uncle,  Real  Paternal  Aunt  /  Uncle,  Half  Maternal  Sister  / Brother,  or  Half  Paternal  Sister/  Brother  as the case may be.

(iii) Third degree and other  blood  relative  of  the  applicant residing  abroad  and  submits  documentary proof  that  he /  she  is  a  Non  Resident  Indian (NRI  bank  account  in  India,  letter from  the  Indian  Embassy / Consulate, Affidavit in given format).  The NRI status should  be  valid  until  1st August of the year of admission.

 

3. Eligibility for applying under NRI Quota (NRIQ) category but are Foreign Nationals (FN) i.e., a person having citizenship of a foreign country (citizens other than India) and not having the status of NRI.

(a) Only those candidates who are of the age 18 years and above are eligible to apply.  The date of birth as recorded in the 10th or 12th standard certificate, issued by the Board/Examination Authority will be taken as authentic. Candidates must produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of admission/counseling.

(b) Candidates must have passed or must be appearing in the year of application the qualifying examination, i.e., XII standard or equivalent from any system of education as recognized by the Association of Indian University (AIU), New Delhi in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry and must have secured a minimum GPA of 6 on a 10-point scale, if grades are awarded. In case marks are awarded, candidates must have secured a minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry of the qualifying examination.

(c) Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in the year of admission will be considered for provisional admission based on the submission of transcripts of their 11th standard and the first semester of their 12th standard (if issued) duly certified by their school authorities. All such candidates will be required to produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination (XII standard or equivalent) latest by 30th October of the admission year failing which the admission will stand cancelled.

 

4. Admission Criteria. The admission criteria for NRIQ seats will be granted based on the basis of:

(a) Performance in the 12th standard or equivalent examination. SAT Subject Tests (formerly SAT II) of Physics, Mathematics (Chemistry will also be encouraged) (The candidate must have a minimum of 1600 SAT score)

OR

(b) All India Rank of Joint Entrance Examination 2026 (JEE- last two latest) Main conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), Government of India

OR

(c) Equivalent standard examination of the United Kingdom (UK) education system in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

* Admission fee is inclusive of Tuition fees of 3000 USD, which remains fixed for a Batch. However, fees of other components may change.

Note: Tuition Fee will remain the same for the batch. The figures mentioned above are indicative.

 

 6. Refund Policy. The last date for paying the fee will be notified to the candidate in the admission offer. If a candidate accepts the admission by paying the fee but does not join, then refund will be applicable as per institute refund policy for Indian students JoSAA / CSAB admission. Subsequently, fees are charged semester-wise, with the registration at the beginning of each semester.

 

 7. How to applyAdmission of all the International Students will be done through the International Cell (IC), IIITV-ICD.
