UG/PG Courses - Fees Refund Policy

The fees refund policy for candidates seeking admission in UG/PG Courses in IIIT Vadodara is as under:

  1. Please refer to the policy no. Ref: IIITV/PGREFUND/POLICY/2025-26 dated 23.07.2025
  2. The Policy will be applicable for all UG courses (BSc, B.Tech, etc), PG courses (M.Tech, MCA etc), less PhD for which separate policy is there
  3. In view of the above policy is revised as under:
    1. In all cases where student has left the Institute based on the decision of JoSAA/CSAB/CCMT/NIMCET/External Counselling Agency. – Rule A would be applicable.
    2. Other Cases (Student decides to cancel admission after joining the Institute/confirming JoSAA/CSAB/CCMT/NIMCET/External Counselling Agency about admission:
      1. Case I: If all seats in the respective category are filled even after withdrawal at the end of admission process, the Rule A will be applicable. If candidates own withdrawal makes a vacancy then Rule B would be applicable.
      2. Case II: If all seats in respective category are not filled due to the withdrawal of the seat at the end of admission process or withdrawal after commencement of classes, then Rule B would be applicable.
  4. Rule A
    1. Tuition Fee, Institute Development Fund, I Card Fee, Medical Fee, Exam Fee, Hostel Estt Fees, Student Activities Centre Fees, Convocation Fees, Institute Alumni Fees, Hostel & Mess Reserve Fund, Lib Fees, Student Insurance Fee – 100 % to be refunded.
    2. Caution Money Deposit - 100% to be refunded.
    3. Hostel Fee - Refund of remaining calendar month (If paid to the Institute).
    4. Mess fees - As per Institute Mess Refund policy issued vide institute office order No OO: IIITV/2025-26/E/12 dated 27.10.2025 and its amendments thereof (If paid to the Institute).
    5. Transport Fee – Refund of remaining calendar month (If paid to the Institute).
    6. Note:- Any fees paid directly to vendor, vendor refund policy will be applicable.
  5. Rule B
    1. Tuition Fee - Since, the seat accepted and later cancelled by the candidate is a loss of Institute specially, as the Institute is in PPP mode, (where in fees is the major of source of revenue) 100% tuition fees - to be forfeited.
    2. I Card Fee, Student Insurance Fee, Medical Fee - to be forfeited.
    3. Caution Money Deposit - 100% to be refunded.
    4. Tuition Fee, Institute Development Fund, Exam Fee, Hostel Estt Fees, Student Activities Centre Fees, Convocation Fees, Institute Alumni Fees, Hostel & Mess Reserve Fund, Lib Fees – 100 % to be refunded.
    5. Hostel Fee - Refund of remaining calendar month (If paid to the Institute).
