About the Program:

M.Tech. (CSE) program is designed such that the students can complete it based on advanced coursework along with projects. The students interested to pursue a research oriented career are provided with an option to take up thesis work for a year in place of projects. The first semester of the program is aimed at laying down the necessary foundations. It gives students an opportunity to tune into the instructional philosophy and pedagogy of learning at IIIT Vadodara.

M.Tech. (ECE) at Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara offers specializations in VLSI/Chip Design and Machine Learning, and AI and Communication. The specialization “VLSI/Chip Design and Machine Learning” focuses on advanced semiconductor technology, digital and analog IC design. The curriculum combines strong foundations with hands-on training in Verilog/VHDL, RTL design, CMOS circuit design, IC fabrication, FPGA/ASIC design, physical design, timing analysis, and complete RTL-to-GDSII flow. Students gain exposure to key VLSI domains such as low-power VLSI and Embedded System, SoC, memory design, VLSI testing and verification, Neuromorphic Chip Design, hardware security, AI hardware accelerators, and EDA tool-based design methodologies.
The specialization“AI and Communication” focused on artificial intelligence, wireless communication, and intelligent communication technologies. The curriculum provides strong foundations in digital communication, AI/ML, signal processing, RF and Microwave, and wireless systems, along with hands-on laboratory and simulation-based learning. Students also explore advanced areas such as 5G/6G communication, deep learning, and intelligent wireless networks.

Financial Assistance:

The students admitted through CCMT as well as via the institute Round (non-CCMT) will be eligible for institute financial assistance. The students will be offered financial assistance against teaching assistantship. For GATE qualified students, it will be INR 12400 per month. For non-GATE students, depending on the institute requirements the students may be eligible for financial assistance (in the form of teaching assistantship). For non-GATE students, the financial assistance up to 80% of the amount of the financial assistance given to the GATE qualified students may be provided based on the recommendation of a committee constituted by the Competent Authority.

1. Students are required to pay "Subtotal A" to confirm their provisional admission.
2. Hostel is not mandatory for PG students. Subtotal B is indicative and includes hostel, mess and transportation fees. It is to be paid at the time of registration separately.
