About the Program:

This Executive M.Tech. program in Cyber Security offers a robust and comprehensive curriculum for professionals aiming to become experts in the digital security domain. The program builds a strong foundation with core courses in cyber security principles, computer networks, secure programming, and network security. It is designed to equip students with the essential skills to design, analyze, and maintain secure information systems in today's complex and threat-prone digital environment.
As the program progresses, it delves into advanced, specialized areas such as applied cryptography, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and the application of AI/ML for cyber security. A key strength of this curriculum is its dual-track elective system, allowing students to specialize in either "Offensive Security & Threat Intelligence" with courses like malware analysis and exploit development, or "Defensive Security & Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)" with courses in SOC management and threat hunting. The program culminates with a significant project or research dissertation, enabling students to tackle and solve a real-world cyber security challenge.

   • A Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in a relevant engineering discipline (like Computer Science, IT, ECE) or a Master's degree (MCA/MSc) in a related field.
   • A consistent academic record with a minimum aggregate score (e.g., 60% or a 6.0 CPI) in the qualifying degree
   • Relevant work experience in the IT, networking, or software development industry, as the program is structured for working professionals.

6. Schedule & Total Hours:

   • 2 Years
   • Tentative Start: July 2026
   • Weekly - 20-24 Contact Hours (14-15 Theory + 2-5 Tut/ Hands-on + 5-8 Supervised labs + 5-8 Unsupervised lab assignments)
   • Number of semesters: 4 semester of course work + Project Work / Research Dissertation during the Final semester
   • Typical Semester: 17 weeks of instruction + 2 weeks of examination + 1 week of semester break
   • The Academic Calendar will be announced one month before the start of the Academic year (2026-27).

10. Campus Immersion (Duration, Inclusions/Exclusions):

    One mandatory campus immersion of 5 days duration will be planned during July/ December depending on the commencement of the respective cohort.
    During the immersion program the students will be hosted at the IIITV-ICD campus (www.diu.iiitvadodara.ac.in) The students will be provided with hostel accommodation on a sharing basis.

    During conduct of offline courses, accommodation for the participants is arranged at IIITV-ICD campus at Diu (https://diu.gov.in/ ). All the participants will be allotted the institute hostel rooms on sharing basis with common toilets facilities. Hostel rooms are non-AC and well ventilated.
